new york times chocolate chip cookies...with a twist!

Let's face it: the chocolate chip cookie needs a bit of a revamp.
I chose a recipe I have been itching to try, the much-discussed New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookie! Frequently lauded in taste tests, the NY Times recipe calls for dark chocolate and a sprinkling of sea salt, which adds an unexpected zing to a very sweet cookie. Inspired, I raided my pantry for an assortment of ingredients that could inject some pizzazz into this classic, familiar dessert.

1. ghirardelli dark & mint
2. ghirardelli milk & caramel
3. ghirardelli dark 60% cacao
4. milano melts boston creme cookie
5. peanut butter
6. nutella

Yum!

papaya milk

Fresh Papaya
Soymilk
Ice or cold water

One of my favorite summer drinks is known simply as Papaya Milk. A combination of fresh papaya, milk, and ice, it makes a sweet and refreshing treat. Especially as I tackle my ever-expanding list of must-read books by digging into the harrowing novel-turned-film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Shoutout to my friend Anna for the lovely birthday present!
